President’s Message

To Our Beloved Village and Community of Supporters,

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of The Concerned Black Men of Richmond. My passion for mentoring began in 1992 while living in Atlanta and led me to join this organization in 2002. Since then, I have been honored to serve as Secretary and Vice President of The Concerned Black Men of Richmond. As President, I also bringing 26 years of experience in public education. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of mentorship, positive leadership, and the principle of “Each One Teach One” sharing knowledge and lifting others as we climb.

For over 40 years, The Concerned Black Men of Richmond has been committed to mentoring young men by providing positive role models, guidance, leadership development, educational support, and opportunities for personal growth. I, wholeheartedly, believe our boys deserve encouragement, accountability, and access to caring mentors who will help them recognize their potential and prepare them for success in school, in their careers, and in life. Our mission is to inspire confidence, promote academic achievement, cultivate leadership, and empower our boys to become responsible men, and compassionate leaders within their communities.

As we look to the future, I invite the dedicated village of parents, educators, faith leaders, businesses, community organizations, and individuals throughout the Richmond area to partner with us in this important work. Whether you choose to mentor, volunteer, sponsor a program, or advocate for our youth, your support helps create brighter futures and stronger communities. Together, we can continue building a legacy of hope, opportunity, and excellence by investing in the lives of these young men today so they are prepared to lead tomorrow.
